  2. Hello Shirshak Baniya,

My name is Ylva and I am currently in Nepal to do a pre-study on insulation for a new masters program at Kathmandu University. I was wondering if you would be interested in answering a couple of questions I have regarding the subject as you seem to be interested and knowledgeable about construction and architecture?

      1. Thank you for your reply and I am happy to see that you liked my blog about Nepal!

I will write my questions here and if you think it is a good place to answer go ahead, otherwise you can send your answers to my email ylva.teleman@gmail.com .

There is little insulation in Nepal, why do you think that is?

Do you think insulation in houses is necessary? In that case, what could be done to increase the use of it?

How important is it to use local materials?

This prestudy is for a new master program in Energy Efficient Building, what would you say should be the most important material in such a program? What would be of most value for Nepal to teach the students?
