Shirshak Baniya is a architecture enthusiast. He did his undergraduate in architecture from Nepal in 2017 AD with his final architecture design thesis title on Life school centre. His graduation thesis was essentially based on issue of rural empowerment and foreign employment. Shirshak believes on the high performance level of natural building material like earth and bamboo. Currently he is working as a Project Manager from Abari for the construction of early childhood village at Surkhet, Nepal. He previously worked for Needle Weave Architects (2014) and A for Architecture, AFA (2016) as a trainee architect assisting most of the work on rural
reconstruction design prototype and architecture visualization.
Since 2012 when he joined Artudio “centre for visual art” he has been documenting rural
settlement, vernacular architecture, contemporary building through blogs and social media.
Also he has digitalized numerous architecture exhibition, architecture thesis shows and BFA
graduation shows through online image album and visuals. Shirshak likes to pursue his career
in rural development and cost effective architecture in near future.
