The task for the student was to design community centre at Pulchowk lalitpur (Ex army office near to sajha prakash, 1 minutes walk from the pulchowk over head bridge).
Shirshak Baniya is a final year architecture student at Kathmandu engineering college currently undertaking his graduation design thesis on Life school centre based in Dhanusa district at Eastern Terai, Nepal. He previously worked for Needle Weave Architects (2014) and A for Architecture, AFA (2016) as a trainee architect assisting most of the work on rural reconstruction design prototype and architecture visualization. Since 2012 when he joined Artudio “centre for visual art” he has been documenting rural settlement, vernacular architecture, contemporary building through blogs and social media. Also he has digitalized numerous architecture exhibition, architecture thesis shows and BFA graduation shows through online image album and visuals. Shirshak likes to pursue his career in rural development and cost effective architecture design in near future.
